In Guatemala, our founder Dianelle, was able to help build three different schools alongside non-profit organization Hug it Forward.
The organization’s goal was and still is to facilitate education and awareness around different trash management methods – one of them being the construction of bottle class rooms.
Eco-bricks, made from plastic bottles filled with inorganic trash, are used to build the schools making the infrastructure affordable, accessible and sustainable for the community.
We continue to support the initiative by keeping in touch with the Guatemalan community we made an impact in, and by putting forward this method of creating infrastructure as the leading method in the communities we aim to extend our service to.
